Coffee Morning for World Prematurity Day-Nov 17th

This year as World Prematurity Day falls on the Saturday the 17th of November, people are free to hold their coffee morning on Friday the 16th or Saturday.
The charity will forward you a pack with the usual tea/coffee and some extra goodies

World Prematurity Day

Each year we try to do something to mark World Prematurity Day in Ireland. It can vary from Tree planting, balloon releases, book launches, publication of reports or coffee mornings. 15 million babies are born premature each year and over 1 million will die. It is really important as a charity that we mark this day to help create awareness of the problems faced by families when they have a premature baby.

You can organise an fundraising event.

You can organise a fundraising event yourself in aid of the charity. Our fundraising team will be happy to offer their advice, support and knowledge in helping you choose a fundraising event to raise funds .

How you can help our Charity

We support both the parents of premature babies born in Ireland and also will be supporting the NICU's/ SCBU's around Ireland and will be buying essential equipment for the units.

Irish Premature Babies are now on mycharity.ie. You can set up a fundraising page for any event/race/function you want to do for us and also if you would like to do something for a specific NICU or SCBU. 

Recycle for IPB

Irish Premature Babies are working in conjunction with Recycling Appeal Ireland. The Recycling Appeal is run by Redeem, they collect mobile phones and cartridges for reuse and recycling.

TerraCycle

TerraCycle’s eco-friendly fundraising initiatives, called Brigades, are free and open to any individual or organisation. TerraCycle and its partners cover all shipping costs and donate two points, which can be redeemed for a 2 cent contribution, or towards a range of charitable gifts  

Donate to the Charity

Irish Premature Babies is a non-profit charity. All members in the organisation are voluntary. We do not receive any funding or grants. To date the organisation has been funded primarily by two parents. 

Fundraise for the NICU's

Sometimes it’s just so hard to express your gratitude to the staff that looked after your baby while they were in the NICU. How do you say “thank you” enough times to truly articulate how grateful you are for everything the staff has done to help your baby?

The Ride out for Prems is the ultimate fundraising experience. You get to see exactly where you money goes , in fact you actually deliver equipment we buy from your money to the hospitals. You meet the staff, the parents, sometimes a little baby and you see first hand how important your fundraising is.

Event Registration

Register here for an event, whether its charity run, a mini marathon or you want to run an event yourself for the charity. It's as simple as that. One of our volunteers will then be in touch with you. We have fundraising packs that we give to all participants who take part in events for the charity. We have a designated email address for fundraising- fundraising@irishprematurebabies.com. Your contribution can make a big difference to our tiniest and sickest babies.

  

Fashion Show

After the amazing success of our last Fashion Show in Malahide, Co. Dublin  we have decided to have another one. Full details will follow.

Do a Mini Marathon or Marathon for a Tiny Life.

Our charity relies 100% on the general public to help run the charity. All your proceeds go directly to helping those in need, as our we are all volunteers. Your contribution can make a big difference to the life of a tiny sick baby. We would be honoured if you considered us for any mini marathon or marathon you do. We have packs to send out to all particapants

 

Jump for Prems 2013

Following the success of Jump for Prems 2012, we will definitely be running this event in 2013. As this event gets booked up very quickly we advise people to register quickly once details are confirmed. BBQ and lots of games and childrens entertainment will be available for 2013 like previous years. "Feel the fear and do it anyway"
