Mark Cagney is an ambassador for Irish Premature Babies. The charity is delighted to have Mark on board representing all the preterm babies of Ireland.

A little bit about Mark Cagney.

Mark Cagney was born in 1956 in Cork, Ireland. He is an actor, known for Ireland AM(1999), 3rd Irish Film and Television Awards (2005) and 4th Irish Film and Television Awards (2007). He has been married to Audrey Cagney since 1992. They have four children. He was previously married to Ann Cagney.

Mark was a radio DJ in Ireland on 2fm

He is co-host of Ireland AM, TV3's weekday breakfast show. He joined TV3 from his mid-morning talk and music programme on Today FM, following seven years presenting on Dublin's 98FM.

He started his career in broadcasting when he joined RTE (Ireland) in 1977. He was part of the original line-up of 2FM (Radio 2), broadcasting on its first night on air - 31 May 1979.

Has two sons and two daughters with his second wife

He was voted Irish Television Personality of the Year at the 3rd Irish Film and Television Awards (IFTA's) [November 2005]

Isobel Mahon

Isobal Mahon

Isobel is an actress, writer and psychotherapist, perhaps best known for her part as Michelle for sixteen years in the long running series 'Glenroe' and also ‘The Clinic’. She is currently touring Ireland with a theatre show, ‘Weighing In’ by Ger Gallagher. She has written several plays including ‘So Long Sleeping Beauty’ for BBC and ‘Box of Frogs’ and was a writer on Fair City for some years. She maintains a private psychotherapy practice in South Dublin since 1998.

In 2001 Isobel had a premmie, Jessica , born in the Coombe at just over 27 weeks gestation where she spent the first 10 weeks of her life in the Baby Unit. Here Isobel met and shared many stories with the Mums and Dads of other premature babies.

Jessica is now 14 years old and annoying the neighbours practicing the drums with her band.

Isobel is delighted to be involved with Irish Premature Babies.
